This Was Inevitable - I've Become a Stampin Up Demonstrator

Hello my awesome readers,

Welp, this was inevitable...I have decided to join Stampin Up.  It all started when my SU demonstrator Anne sent out her monthly email in January, letting us know that it was Sale-a-Bration.  During the annual Stampin Up Sale-a-Bration event when you become a Demonstrator you get $205 in craft supplies and business tools for only $99.  As a customer (and big fan!) of SU that was pretty hard to resist, so I figured I'd give it a shot.

One of the reasons that I love Stampin Up is that they offer a wide variety of Project Life/Planner supplies at great prices!   Check out the clearance section where you can get PL kits for less than $7!
# 135299 Little Moments Project Life Card Collection $6.38

Now that I'm a demonstrator I will be adding Stampin Up workshops to my class repertoire.  I am so excited to be teaching you all how to create easy and beautiful cards, as well as memory planners, and Project Life layouts.

Selling a house, buying a house, packing, and moving all during December and January forced me to take a break from teaching craft classes, but I'm all settled in now so I will be scheduling classes starting in late February.

Visit my Stampin Up site, join my mailing list, follow my SU blog, and look at these GORGEOUS ideas!

I look forward to seeing you at one of my upcoming classes but I would be TICKLED if you hosted your own workshop!  So tickled in fact that I will gift you a set of washi tape when you host an in-home workshop.

If you just want to attend a class then stay tuned for workshop invites, or you can go online now and place an order using code 93AQWA7E now through February 29th, 2016.  Receive a FREE item for every $50 that you spend (before taxes and shipping).  Yes, that means if you spend $100 then you get 2 free items!

Thank you for reading and I look forward to teaching you easy techniques to make beautiful things.
Love,
Myria

Winner of Perfect Wedding Guide Gift Certificate

Hello Readers,
Hope everyone is doing great!  I'm still in between jobs so I've had time to get some crafting in. I wish I could do this as my full-time job! <3 data-blogger-escaped-p="">
So, awhile back I donated a $250 Gift Certificate to The Perfect Wedding Guide.  This guide is a comprehensive wedding planning booklet for New Mexico brides.  I was super excited to participate in their giveaway, and in exchange Beloved Bijou Adornments was given an advertising slot in the guide.  Sweet!
The Perfect Wedding Guide NM
The winner of my gift certificate was Courtney, a bride whose wedding is set for March 2015.  Courtney decided to use her gift certificate for hair accessories for herself, her mom, and her 6 bridesmaids.
She gave me photos of all the ladies. I then made notes on the backs of the photos as to what each lady wanted to wear in her hair: headband, bobby pin, clip, or barrette.  Her wedding colors are blue and yellow.
I met with Courtney earlier this week to deliver the goods.  Here is what she got:
Headband for the bride

Fascinator headband for the mother of the bride. My inspiration was fancy church hats.

Another headband for one of the bridesmaids.  This one had a big bow made out of tulle.
image
Some small sparkly bobby pins for one of the bridesmaids.  She wants to wear them interspersed throughout her updo.
image
I used tulle to make leaves
image
I was told that this bride likes to wear her hair up in a half-pony tail with a barrette.  I hope she likes this one!

There were two bridesmaids that opted for alligator clips.  I made two for each of them.

More leaves made from tulle.  I really loved making these! Easy to make but they really add something fun and fancy

I hope you enjoyed this post!  I really loved making these.  I'm taking more orders for bridal jewelry and accessories for next year's wedding season.  There is also still time for 2014 winter weddings.  You can reach me through my website's contact form.

Beloved Bijou Adornments' 4 Year Anniversary Celebration

Hello readers,
It's that time of year again to celebrate my anniversary.  Beloved Bijou Adornments is four years old this month!

I'm spending 1/2 of August on vacation in Arkansas, enjoying the greenery and the thrift shopping ♡

I'm staying at my mom's house. Here is a photo of one of her thrift shop finds - a cute shabby chic lawn couch and terrarium.

Coming from a place like New Mexico, where antiques are more rare because of the harsh dry climate, means that they are more expensive.

Hello everyone,
I am so excited to share with you all the card that I made using the MyMemories Scrapbooking Software. I was able to find tons of free downloads on the MyMemories site.
Here is the card that I ended up sending out to my friends and family for Christmas.

I just LOVE this bundle!!! it is my favorite combination of baroque and kawaii...so cute!!!
Once I was finished with the layout I saved the "album" and then exported the image to my photos. I then used the Ink app which is affiliated with Sincerely and can be found in the iTunes App Store. I simply uploaded my image to Ink and selected my recipients and submitted my order. Bam! Done. The printing and mailing is taken care of.
Now I want to reward you - This is the best part!

As a special for all of my readers, I give you a $10 discount off the purchase of the My Memories Suite Scrapbook software and a $10 coupon for the MyMemories.com store - $20 value!)

MyMemories Digital Scrapbooking Review

Hello dear readers,
I have recently been introduced to a really fun program for creating digital scrapbook layouts, cards, and more!
Here is a brief video tutorial on how to use the MyMemories Suite digital scrapbook software:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2Jt9OndVW8&feature=plcp

And recently they came out with a new versionLearn more about it by clicking on this link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKbqoNNigHs&feature=plcp

It was very easy to purchase, download and install the software.  After I downloaded the program I went online to browse through their scrapbooking kits.  They have a HUGE selection to choose from with prices ranging from FREE to $0.69 and then all the way up to just over $11.00.

My favorite kit (without browsing through the hundreds of pages) is the Leaf Diving kit

I just loved the little squirrel, scarecrow and owl!

After watching the YouTube tutorial I got started with my first project.  I used the stock backgrounds and embellishments for my project and this project literally took me 15 minutes to design.  Easy!

Here is my first attempt at a layout

It is a very simple design I am pretty pleased with how it came out considering it only took me a few minutes to put together.

Then when I had more time I spruced it up a bit by adding some leaves and matching the color of the text
I look forward to playing around more with my new scrapbooking program!

Now it is time to get you all involved in the fun!
I am giving one of my lucky readers a FREE download of the MyMemories Suite software.
To gain contest entries please do any of the following:
Good Luck!!!
