Spring Cleaning In My Kitchen

When my daughter was a baby and starting to crawl she got into my kitchen cabinets and disorganized all of my recipes. Now that everybody's out of the house for the day, and I have some time to myself I decided to reorganize my antique Baines Moiser Hoosier Cabinet.
I won't disgust you with the before photos but here are the after.

I moved the smaller cook books to the shelf in the middle area, next to the pull-out baking surface, where I still have some of my cute nick nacks displayed.

Underneath where the old cutting board is, I put the crock pot and mini blender and our other larger cookbooks and magazines.

I keep shopping bags and candles in the other cabinet.  And in the top drawer I keep pens, bag clips, and notepads.

Here are some photos of the inside with the original spice jars and flour holder with sifter.

One of the things that I had stashed away in here is something that belonged to my mother - Vintage New Mexico cookbooks. I've decided to put them in a shadow box and hang them on the wall in the kitchen.

Thanks for reading!
Love,
Myria

I'm Hooked on Snapeee

I recently downloaded this Japanese app, similar to Instagram,  except it gives you more options to Deco your photos - frames,  stamps,  and writing.
Plus you earn points when you recommend other users photos. You then use these points to download more Deco packs. Kawaii!

Heart Favor Box DIY!

Original Article: http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/WonderForest/~3/eJcUuBZqPfU/14-days-of-love-heart-favor-box-diy.html

I saved this post from last year from another blog that I simply adore:  The Wonder Forest.

Today I have a project that you can even do with your kids as a craft. It's really easy and all you need is some thicker colored paper, scissors, and glue!

Isn't it cute? Fill it up with some little heart candies and give these as valentines!

To get started, you will need to print out the template here.

After you've printed it out, trace the edges onto a piece of card stock with a pencil.

Cut out the box! Don't forget to cut the little slices into the hearts as shown on the template where the dotted lines are.

Now fold up both the top and bottom edges according to the lines on the template. Fold in the tab on the side as well.

The rest is pretty self explanatory. Fold the box together... like a box. haha.

Grab your glue stick and secure the bottom flaps together, as well as the side tab.

Then all you have to do is slide the two heart pieces together to form the top and voila!!! Simple, cute heart box!!

Feel free to pin! Pin It
