Annual Rubber Stamp Show Part 2

Hello all!

Here is Part 2 of the Annual Rubber Stamp Show!  Read part 1 here.  As I mentioned in my last post I am sharing my favorite items from each booth.

Here is the Stampland booth - I LOVE their style!
I'm a big fan of Victorian ephemera and what not.

Fainting couches...oh the days when women would LITERALLY pass out from oxygen deprivation from wearing those infernal corsets.

I'm a big fan of Art Deco and fairies too <3

They were doing a really cool demonstration that anyone could do if they have a Big Shot machine using pretty much any die.

In the demonstration that I saw, she was showing us how to use the positive and negative die cuts to create shadows and texture.
I just loved all of the ink on her fingers

She uses brushes and essentially paints with dye ink pads.

Some of her completed samples.  I tried to get better photos but there were several people crowding around to watch and I didn't want to butt in!
I was able to find a YouTube Video of one of her demonstrations on one of my favorite vlogger's YouTube channel.  Be sure to check it out!

Next is Close To My Heart which is a company that sells plastic photo sheets that enable you to add on to a basic plastic photo album sheet to create a fold-out story that saves space in a photo album.
They are also an in-home party company, like Stampin Up.  Unfortunately, you can't shop online.

I LOVE Craft Fantastic!  This is a local Albuquerque company that has everything you need to make gorgeous jewelry using any image you want.

I learned about them one year when my friend Mia and I won a bundle of supplies at the Lovelace Women's Hospital Girls Night out.  They've started teaching classes to show you how to use their products.

Lovely!

Next up - Waffle Flower!  I am proud to say that I am an affiliate and I love their designs.  I ended up buying some adorable Spring/Easter stamps and dies.

They have planner stamps too! <3

I almost bought the succulent stamps and dies sets...

Thanks for reading everyone!
Stay tuned for part 3.
Love,
Myria

**This post contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my links.

Bring Out Your Inner Jeweler with Creativebug's Jewelry Classes.
Our jewelry classes are sorted much like a well organized jewelry box; by type of piece (necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings), and by style (beaded, leather, metal and wire). We even have a section for you jewelry makers out there, full of easy-to-make projects for kiddos, teens, and adults. Of course as a Creativebug member you will enjoy unlimited access to all of our classes (jewelry and beyond) for just $4.95 a month.

Here's a Sneek Peak of Our Jewelry Classes

*Make a Talisman Necklace. In this workshop jewelry designer Alix Bluh will show you a simple crochet stitch for beading that offers endless options for customization by using different thread and bead combinations.

*In her Ear Wire Basics Class Shana Astrachan shows you techniques as well as the simple tools you will need to create three different styles.

*Who doesn't love a Boho Leather Cuff? Elke Bergeron shows you how to take an old or thrifted belt and transform it into a modern leather cuff. You can keep the cuff unadorned or add a few rows of delicate beading to give it a boho vibe.

For the kiddos, Annabel Wrigley teaches us how to make an adorable Paper Flower Necklace. In this class you'll learn how make the cut outs using the Cricut Explore and add touches like pom pom centers, and fringed details.

...and much more!
Cheers!

Business Collab with L'Amour Baking Company

Hello my sweets!

I'm super excited to announce that I've teamed up to do a business collaboration with L'Amour Baking Company, an adorable bakery here in Los Ranchos that specializes in French Macaroons.
And let me say - they are delicious!!!! <3 <3 <3

They are definitely my favorite bakery in town, although I may be a bit biased because I can walk to it from my house...

I have made them some polymer clay macaroon and cupcake jewelry to sell in their bakery.
Now customers can buy souvenir earrings, charms, and rings to remember their delicious pastries by.

Here is a pair of earrings that replicate their Red Velvet macaroons.

These clay pieces come complete with stainless steel ear hooks, clasps, and L'Amour heart charms.
These ones are kiwi lime macaroons.

These charms come with lobster clasps so that you can hook them onto your bracelet, necklaces, zippers, keys, and more!
These are Salted Caramel and Orange Dream macaroons.

The rings are adjustable and nickel free!

Orange Dream cupcake earrings

Now let me show you their baked goods <3

Gorgeous Red Velvet and Party Cake macaroons

Vanilla Bean and Just Chocolate macaroons

My favorites!  Lavender and Pistachio macaroons

My second favorites!  Salted Caramel and Lemonade macaroons

Chocolate Mint and Pecan Pie macaroons.
Both are flavors of the month

Cappuccino and Pumpkin Pie macaroons

Adorable and festive Autumn cupcakes

In addition to delicious macaroons and cupcakes you can also order pumpkin pies, pecan pies, pumpkin rolls, and dinner rolls for your holiday parties.

Here's a photo of their Pumpkin Rolls.  Nom nom nom!

Or how about a Salted Caramel Apple Tart?

I didn't take a photo but they also offer DELICIOUS Quiches.

Now that I've tempted you with jewelry and pastries, I hope you'll make it out to their Thanks For Giving event.  They are collecting a variety of needed goods from November 10th-25th to help our community during the holiday.   Click HERE for a list of items to donate.

With your donation you will receive 15% off your treats from L'Amour Baking Co!

All donations will benefit Albuquerque Heading Home and Joy Junction

Treat yo-self!

Myria

Feeling Uninspired

Hello Loves,

I have been in a funk lately - I've been uninspired and unmotivated which can really add to one's depressed feeling, especially if you create art as an emotional outlet.  It is incredibly frustrating on days like this, when I am home alone, and have all the time in the world to work on projects.

Some tools that I (and probably most of you) use to become inspired are Pocket, Bloglovin, and Pinterest.

The major downside to these are that you can get sucked into the web, and end up spending hours just browsing, reading, and pinning - AAAHHHHH!  What's a girl to do?

My answer is go back to paper.  Read your craft books and magazines because unlike the internet - they are finite.

Once you've flipped through the pages it's done.  The End.

My favorite crafts books are:

The Stampin' Up Idea Book and Catalog.  Great for card making layout ideas - especially if you're a Stampin' Up customer.  Because then you can get ideas on how to use the materials and tools that you've purchased.  Mine is an older version but it is still great for looking up layouts.  Another added bonus is that your Stampin' Up rep will often give these to you for free if you ask.

I found this book at Tuesday Morning and bought it to get ideas on what to do with my button hoard.
Tuesday Morning has REALLY inexpensive books.  Some as cheap as $1 each.

I seriously love this magazine but I only own 2 of them because they are about $15 each.
Look how many pages I've flagged!

I am always impressed with the artists that Stampington selects for their many catalogs.

I absolutely love this book but I haven't actually tried to make anything using it yet.  I bought it because I have a plethora of ribbon, and I figured learning how to work with them would come in handy.  Plus, ribbon embroidery is a dying art.  Let's keep it alive!
I have, however, read through the entire book and I can say that the instructions are very easy to follow.

My friend Kate introduced me to this book and I absolutely fell in love!  So gorgeous...

This book is primarily focused around soldering instructions, but on this page they show you how to do mixed media collage, which is useful in all sorts of projects.

Again, I haven't made anything using the instructions in this book yet but I am planning on getting into soldering.  I've received most of the tools necessary but I'm still missing some holders and clamps.

I just love this lady!  Not only is she an amazing seamstress but she is also an amazing painter!
You can purchase her fabrics and prints and other items on her website.  Plus if you subscribe to her newsletter she sends you monthly freebie wallpapers for all of your devices.

This book comes complete with patterns.

So, basically if you actually want to be productive yet still gain inspiration, books can be an amazing tool.

I hope you found this useful!
Love,
Myria
