MyMemories Holiday Card

Hello everyone,
I am so excited to share with you all the card that I made using the MyMemories Scrapbooking Software. I was able to find tons of free downloads on the MyMemories site.
Here is the card that I ended up sending out to my friends and family for Christmas.

I just LOVE this bundle!!! it is my favorite combination of baroque and cute!!!
Once I was finished with the layout I saved the "album" and then exported the image to my photos. I then used the Ink app which is affiliated with Sincerely and can be found in the iTunes App Store. I simply uploaded my image to Ink and selected my recipients and submitted my order. Bam! Done. The printing and mailing is taken care of.
Now I want to reward you - This is the best part!

As a special for all of my readers, I give you a $10 discount off the purchase of the My Memories Suite Scrapbook software and a $10 coupon for the store - $20 value!)
Just go to:

and enter this code at checkout: STMMMS67824

You're going to love it! And stay tuned for more of my completed projects.

MyMemories Digital Scrapbooking Review

Hello dear readers,
I have recently been introduced to a really fun program for creating digital scrapbook layouts, cards, and more!
Here is a brief video tutorial on how to use the MyMemories Suite digital scrapbook software:

And recently they came out with a new versionLearn more about it by clicking on this link:
It was very easy to purchase, download and install the software.  After I downloaded the program I went online to browse through their scrapbooking kits.  They have a HUGE selection to choose from with prices ranging from FREE to $0.69 and then all the way up to just over $11.00.

My favorite kit (without browsing through the hundreds of pages) is the Leaf Diving kit

I just loved the little squirrel, scarecrow and owl!

After watching the YouTube tutorial I got started with my first project.  I used the stock backgrounds and embellishments for my project and this project literally took me 15 minutes to design.  Easy!

Here is my first attempt at a layout

It is a very simple design I am pretty pleased with how it came out considering it only took me a few minutes to put together.

Then when I had more time I spruced it up a bit by adding some leaves and matching the color of the text
I look forward to playing around more with my new scrapbooking program!
Now it is time to get you all involved in the fun!
I am giving one of my lucky readers a FREE download of the MyMemories Suite software.
To gain contest entries please do any of the following:
Good Luck!!!

Interview of Peter Coombs Designs

What is your art/craft and how long have you been doing it?
I am a Designer Jeweller Metalsmith, creating individual pieces from 20mm to 4m. I've been doing this since 1983 and every day discover something new about myself, my creativity and possibilities.

What got you started?
I was working for a surveyor, building large buildings, bridges and the like. I loved seeing things being created and discovered Jewellery Metalsmithing in my Design Degree.

Are there any other arts and crafts that you would like to try your hand at? If so, why?
I've always wanted to do some glass-blowing and that's probably because of the speed that you can create of forms

What are your favorite materials to use?
Depends upon what I'm making. Mostly 18W Gold for rings, 9W for pendants and Silver for larger pieces. Anodised Aluminium for Spectacles….and just finished a marble and burnished steel table.
They are all favourites and suit perfectly the specific piece.

What and/or who inspires you?
I've been inspired by designers and schools of thought. I particularly like Art Deco and Japanese styling. Charles Rennie –Mackintosh, Rene Lalique….in a lot of cases I'm inspired by music or a conversation. I interpret these into shapes, and from here develop an idea for the client.
